One of our founders likes formal attire; the other favours a smart-casual style. A good shirt is indispensible to both.
While living in Beijing, we discovered that bamboo fabric makes for good shirts. Bamboo is a light fabric, ideal for warm weather; its slight, silk-like sheen gives it an understated edge over cotton; and its weave is such that it hardly needs ironing.
Having made several bamboo shirts for ourselves, we decided to partner with our tailor, Jenny, to introduce this sartorial revelation to the good people of the U.K. And if this goes well, to the rest of the world too.
